Last Sunday I played a video in our church service; ever since then, I’ve been having church people ask me, “Where can I find that video? I have GOT to watch it again.”
We were at a Christmas party last night, and people were pulling it up on their phones and showing it to each other.
Trust me when I say that after the three minutes you spend watching this, you will have SUCH a goofy grin on your face. Innocent, hilarious, creative . . . what more could you want out of a Christmas video?
Tomorrow, our plan is to get up around 4 a.m. and hit the road shortly thereafter. In the meantime, we have a preschool Christmas program this morning and a candlelight communion service tonight. I broke the crown off a tooth last night so I have to do an emergency run to the dentist and Steve feels like he’s coming down with something.
I haven’t packed even one thing and am frankly, slightly overwhelmed at the very prospect since it’s going to 85 degrees in Florida and 30 degrees in Charlotte. Packing is difficult for me under the best of circumstances and fitting two seasons into season has me slightly stymied.
I texted Meagan and told her I was just going to wear sweatpants the whole trip. She said she’d join me. Gotta love that daughter of mine!
Other than those small challenges, we are truly looking forward to our journey and spending precious time with precious people.
Thanks to everyone who commented on Sarah’s first date post on Monday. You guys are just the best!
That video was hilarious!! Have a great trip.
Thanks, Jessica. Everytime I watch that video I find something new to laugh about.

Safe and virus-free travels!!!!
Thank you, Lesley. We are hoping to leave the virus in the dust!
I LOVE that video! I’ve watched it several times. Just take a pair of black comfy pants. They will go with any and everything. Prayers for safe travel and a wonderful time making memories with those you love. Merry Christmas!
Elizabeth,
Yes, comfy pants are a great thing to have!
Glad you like that video as much as I do!
That video is hilarious!! Love it!
Sorry about the tooth and I hope that Steve doesn’t come down with anything. Emergencee is GREAT!!!
There’s nothing better than sweats. Have a fun, safe trip! 🙂
LeeAnne,
Have never heard of Emergencee. Will have to check it out!
Video was super! Good luck with the packing. Know how that is. Safe travels and wonderful memories of the time together. Sorry about the tooth.
Ann,
Thankfully I have got most of my stuff wrangled into a suitcase and am (almost) ready to hit the road. Hooray!
Becky do you use a packing list when you travel? It has really made a difference for me. Safe travels & remember it’s in the 60’s at night so bring a lightweight sweater or two.
Margie,
I have used lists in the past but haven’t gotten out of the habit. Thanks for the reminder that I need to get back INTO the habit again!
HAHAHA – that video is hilarious! Safe travels to you — sweatpants are appropriate attire 24/7. 🙂
Stefanie.
Funny videos and sweat pants–two wonderful inventions. 🙂
God speed and be safe
Thank you, Becky! Such a treat to get to be with family!
