Well, I promised you a video today and not only am I delivering on that promise, I am throwing in an extra video as a bonus
If you don’t at least get a chuckle or two out of the first video, you must be a very non-chuckly person.
My reaction to Nathan showing up in my bedroom is a hoot, especially since I usually don’t wake out of a sound sleep in such a dramatic fashion. You’ll be happy to know that after having my brief moment of post-waking hysteria, I did eventually get out of bed and give Nathan a big ol’ mama hug.
Also, the video starts after Steve had already seen Nathan at the bottom of the stairs so he’d already had his dramatic reaction.
The second video contains a few excerpts of Nathan and me playing ping pong at our church’s youth building. Be sure you get all the way the one-minute mark where things turn dramatic.
And lastly, I thought you might enjoy seeing a picture of Noah and Madison with their three cousins. Meagan took this photo and I love it so much!
Love the music to the ping pong game!!!! Thanks for sharing both videos as well as the “kids” picture. You are amazing.
Ann,
I thought it was a fun touch to put the music on there. It made me smile. 🙂
Great videos, the first one brought tears to my eyes as I can imagine how happy I would be if my son surprised me like that!! And love the cousins picture, especially the expressions on the babies’ faces, that made me laugh out loud!!!!
Dale,
It truly was a wonderful surprise. Sometimes when a surprise is pending, you kind of get an idea it’s coming but with Nathan, I was completely flabbergasted. No hints; just lots of joy!
I’d write a longer comment, but I can’t stop laughing. Both videos are keepers. Good job, Sarah! (And I’m a professional editor’s mother. And mother-in-law.)
Love, love, love the picture of all the cousins. They all look so happy! (Well, maybe not the babies, but they never cooperate.)
Jan,
Yes, that first one is especially laughter-inducing. And how fun to have video editor people in your family!
Loved the music with the ping pong game. 🙂
Sharyn,
I had so much fun putting that in there. Once I did the slow motion thing, I just KNEW I had to have Chariots of Fire!
OMG Becky, I can’t believe they videoed waking you up. I guess they were so excited to surprise you. Definitely a few chuckles here! You are an Impressive ping pong player. I’ll tell you a secret–i’ve never played the game–shhhh.
Lesley,
Well, here’s the thing. They wouldn’t have posted the video without my permission. I almost didn’t give it to them but then I thought, “Becky, you just don’t need to take yourself so seriously. You can look goofy every once in a while”
So I did. 🙂
And you must play ping pong some time. It is so fun!
made me smile
Mrs. Pam,
🙂
The videos were great! You certainly were surprised. The photo of the cousins is priceless. What a group of beautiful kids. Have a great weekend.
Mary,
I love the fact that Noah and Madison get to grow up with their cousins. What a wonderful thing!
I sure did get a chuckle out of that video!! 😀 Looks like you all enjoyed some great family time together. And that is one great looking group of little people. Of course we KNOW who the cutest ones are. Right Becky? Just sayin’. (Just kidding too Sheri) 🙂
LeeAnne,
But of course, OUR grand children are the most marvelous, by far! 🙂
Love it!! Even though he is now married with two kidos, he still knows how to come home and be a kid again with his own parents! I know you treasured every single moment with him and especially enjoyed the “Mom & Son” time to talk when you took him back to the airport! So glad that they conspired and done this for you even though they done it under the guise of his birthday!
Donna,
Yes, I love it when my kids conspire, especially when they are conspiring wonderful surprises.
