Good morning!
Last night Noah got it into his head that Grandpa Smith needed to be tucked in for the night.
Noah is an excellent tucker-inner.
THEN it was decided that Aunt Sarah needed to try out his Big Boy bed and see if she fit. And she did!
The NEXT step in the nightime process was to read her a bedtime story, just like his parents do for him every night.
Madi got in on the action, too.
So wonderful to see the grandkids being raised to love books.
To close out, I wanted to share a favorite photo from the trip so far–my two favorite men watching fireworks at LegoLand.
Lots more to come, including pictures of Nathan and Meagan’s new house.
Your grand kids are adorable! So is Sarah! Noah looks so serious reading the book. I think early reading is one of the most important things for children to learn. If you can read, you can do most anything.
Kari,
I agree. Being able to read is the truest of treasures. I am grateful I got to be the one to teach both my children.
Madi looks like Sarah! Sweetness all around!!!!
Elizabeth,
Yes, she DOES! 🙂
I love the age that Noah is now, actually I love all ages but where he is now is just precious. And great shot of the ‘men’ Becky!
Lesley,
Glad you liked my shot of the men; I thought it was really cool. And yes, Noah is at a truly precious age; just learning to talk well and express his thoughts.
So enjoy reading about the memories you are making.
Ann,
I’m glad because I sure love getting to make the memories!
It’s funny to see Madi with a sun suit on when it’s a balmy 23 degrees here in Kansas. That’s a huge improvement from yesterday when it was -8 and a wind chill of -21 when I got up. When I texted a picture of my car thermometer showing 9 degrees around 4 yesterday afternoon to several of my Florida friends, one of my Tampa friends had the audacity to text me hers which showed 84 degrees!
Enjoy time with your Florida family!
Yes, Phyllis, saw a college game played in Kansas and it was snowing sooo hard. Our daytime temp on Sunday was -21 and today it was about 20 degrees – tomorrow about 32 – heatwave!!!
Sharyn,
Football is hard enough without having to play it in the snow!
That is a thoughtful little man – how precious both of those kids are!
Sharyn,
Yes, he truly is a little man–all grown up in a small body.
Phyllis
A wind chill of -21 makes me cold just reading about it. I do have to say that I loved those balmy Florida temps!
Noah is certainly working hard at getting it just right. 🙂 Adorable!
LeeAnne,
Yes, once he gets something in his little head, he is very invested in completing his task.
That picture of Noah reading to Sarah is absolutely precious…..I am glad you are having such a good time!
Dale,
He must have known Sarah was a kindred spirit in reading.
