My computer is currently in non-operational mode (oh happy day), so I am writing to you from Sarah’s computer. Which is fine, as far as that goes, except that my “earmarked for the blog” pictures and my half-finished blog rough drafts are all languishing on MY computer. Which doesn’t help me much.
And so today, I shall go to Plan B and post some favorite blog headers from Sarah’s cancer site that were designed for us by Wyatt Earp who has been an amazing and incredible computer guru and friend to us over the years. As I got to looking over these old headers, I was reminded of just how wonderful and creative they are; in fact, I’ve loved looking at them so much I’m going to post some today and a few more within the next week, just because I think they deserve to be appreciated all over again.
Enjoy the many faces of Sarah and the many faces of Sarah Smith’s Spot. (Do You have a favorite?)
Jenna, yes, the one with her coming out of the book is very cool on many levels but especially for those of us who love books. (And just to confirm, I didn’t do the graphics; they were done by Wyatt Earp.)
She is a beautiful young woman. My favorite is the one where she is kneeling with her back to the camera and looking out the window.
Anna, I like that one, too. That was taken at Duke Hospital, at the end of a long day of appointments.
Love them all. Commennting from my little notebook computer as I take care of my grandson in Iliinois while his mom is at a conference in Chicago for a few days. Please excuse the typos! Thanks for bringing us back to Sarah’s Spot!
Mary, Enjoy your Grandma Time. And yes, it IS nice to go back to the Sarah Smith’s Spot days, isn’t it?
So sweet. I guess a broken computer “ain’t so bad!.” 😉
Fred, yes, there was definitely a silver lining to it!
Such a lovely girl – amazing how quickly our chldren grow! Pretty sure this is why old pictures mesmorize us mamas … we remain in disbelief that so much time really has gone by! 🙂
I think they’re all creative and unique in their own way, but I probably like of the third one best. It has a simple, yet elegant, flare. 🙂
LizzieLou, you’re right, that one definitely is very elegant and lovely. And I like your line that pictures “mesmerize us mamas.” How very true that is.
I love them all because they represent a victory over a disease that most don’t survive. What a wonderful trip down memory lane. I am a long time follower (as you know) and love to celebrate that your Sarah is still winning!
Lisa, I hadn’t really thought of the series of pictures as a celebration but how very true that is. Thank you so much for celebrating with us. Hugs to you.
I
Ohhh…so hard to pick just one…so I’ll pick 2!! My favorite is the one where she is leaning on the book (hand on head.) But, I also like the one with the letters in pink and she is wearing a green shirt.
Krista, there are just too many to like, aren’t there? 🙂
I love the one with her coming out of a book. Probably because books are ny passion! Your creativity both on your blogs and how you live your life inspjres me Becky.
From this selection, I like the Narnia one best. But there was an earlier one (and can’t get my brain to call up enough of it to describe….but I’ll know it when I see it!) that was my all-time favorite. The girl simply cannot take a bad picture, so they all are wonderful.
Jan, I’ll be posting some more of them soon; hopefully the one that you’re thinking of will be in the line up.
I really like them all but if I had a favorite I think it would be The Narnia look.
Shawn, I agree; that one is amazing.
The Narnia look is my favorite.
Steve, I’m amazed at how realistic it looks–good stuff!
