Steve’s Surgery

March 10, 2023

Sorry I didn’t update earlier. I thought I could log in with my phone at the surgical center but I couldn’t make it work.

Everything went well.  He had a lot of pain after the surgery that took a while to get under control and his blood pressure crashed and he almost passed out.  But he’s home now and doing well on his pain meds.

I’m so glad to have Nathan and Meagan here to help me figure out his “ice girdle” and his compression socks.    It’s been quite a day!

Thanks so much for your prayers and concern.  I’ll write more on Monday.

Thank you to everyone for your comments and sweet, encouraging words. It means so much.

For those of you who said you are surprised he was home so early, I’m right there with you. I would have been very thankful if he had been kept overnight because it’s a little bit overwhelming doing all the things that medical people would do. But I guess that’s the way things are done these days so we made it work.

He’s had a bit of a tough day today but I think we’re coming out on the other side.

Again, thank you to each of you who took the time to comment. See you Monday!

I’m sorry that Steve had a lot of pain after his surgery – I did too. But in a couple of days the pain from the surgery began to subside. I hope his pain meds will carry him through until that time. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
