I am not one to take a lot of selfies but every once in a while, I give into the temptation just so that I can feel like I am “with it.” (With what, I don’t know.)
From careful observation, it seems to me that most selfies are taken in the car and usually, the person who is the star of the selfie is not supposed to smile very much.
So. This little bitty smile is probably a bit too much.
There. That’s better. Wipe the smile off of the face.
In fact, it seems as though one’s self in one’s selfie is supposed to look a little pensive, or thoughtful, or even pouty. (I DO draw the line at the duck lips.)
For some reason, my selfie-taking iPhone decided to spaz out with the light coming through the windshield and turned me into a person with no cheeks.
So. A person with no cheeks looking pensive? Probably not the look a selfie-seeking person is going for.
So there’s my rare foray into selfies. Pretty exciting stuff, huh?
on Monday you can look forward to our Annual Christmas Picture Outtake Edition. Here are a couple highlights.
More jollification to come!
Like the selfies. Always enjoy the pictures you post.
Thanks, Ann. Nice to know there’s an appreciative audience out there! 🙂
Great photos! Please tell Pastor Steve that he cracks me up, and Sarah – great new hair style!
Fred,
Steve cracks ME up, too! 🙂
PS, which stand for ‘pre script’ because it comes up ahead of my original script lol, I love Sarah’s hair the way it is right now.
OK, your selfies are perfect, hahahaha. And the outtakes are always better than anything else. Thanks for the chuckles today.
Lesley,
What a perfect idea to deem that P.S. can also stand for pre script! 🙂
I agree that the outtakes are the best shots of any bunch of photos. And I agree with you about Sarah’s hair; it suits her perfectly.
You picked a great day to take selfies — a good hair day!! Lovely!!!
Courtney,
Thanks for the hair compliment. I’ll pass it on to my hair since it has a mind of its own and is in charge. 🙂
Your selfies look pretty good! When I have taken them in the past, they turn out horrible….wrinkly neck, bad light, super bad angle. The kind of shots that are immediately deleted. Ha!! But, practice I will, because the oldest grandchild loves to be in selfies and she is very willing to pose with whoever has the camera. Too cute. 🙂
LeeAnne,
When there’s a grandchild involved, selfies should be immediately elevated to the List of Highest Importance! 🙂
