At the Awards Ceremony last night I guarantee that Sarah was the only student who was waiting for results on a polyp biopsy.

We were hoping we would have heard yesterday so that she could relax and enjoy her evening . . .

but she still radiated calm and peace despite what was hanging over her head.

 And the results?

The polyp biopsies were NORMAL!

Normal.  Isn’t that a beautiful, beautiful word?

And isn’t that a beautiful, beautiful smile?

(By the way, I’ll post later next week about the honors Sarah received last night.)

Neuroblastoma and colon polyps – has anyone ever suggested testing for mutations in the APC gene? It might be useful info for Sarah, her doctors, and the rest of your fam. Just a thought from your friendly genetic counselor!

    • Becky says:

      Jamie,

That’s very interesting; I will pass that along to Sarah’s oncologist and the doctor who did her colonoscopy. Nice to have a friendly genetic counselor on board! 🙂 Thanks!

When I saw the small picture of Sarah at the top… I thought all that hair up on top was definitely a new and quite different style for her. Then in the larger photo. I saw that there was indeed another head claiming the topknot!!!
