Today I have a whole new set of photos that didn’t make the finals. Enjoy!
This has got to be one of my all time favorites.
And lastly, here is a repost of what I put on Facebook today.
Thirty-two years ago today, I was a naive, painfully shy, insecure, socially awkward, worldly unwise teenage bride. I stood at the altar next to a guy five years older than I was, a guy who had been into drugs, alcohol, sex, and rock and roll, a guy who had lived in several countries, graduated from a university, and had “been there, done that,” in a lot of different areas.
More than one person raised their eyebrows at us and said the marriage would never last.
Well, more than one person was wrong.
Happy thirty-second anniversary to the love of my life. Thanks Steve, for your patience with me, thanks for being a part of my journey from insecure teenage bride to confident wife, mom, and grandma. You have always been my greatest fan and have shown me constantly through your actions and words of affirmation that I am your greatest treasure.
I’d do it all again.
Love the pictures. You and Steve look better today than 32 years ago. Wonderful!!!!
Hi, I have been trying to post since you first posted this blog, but my computer keeps shutting down when I hit post!
Happy Anniversary! God knew you two were meant to be together and led you to each other. Truly a match made in heaven.
The photos were terrific! Especially liked the “outtakes”
And, Noah, what a sweetie. Looks like he will grow up with a great sense of humor! Like Grandpa, like Daddy, like Noah! Three generations of funny, loving, kind and caring Smith gentlemen! Hugs to you all!

Linda,
Thanks for persevering in leaving a comment. Is your computer behaving any differently now that the blog has been “repaired?”
So glad you liked the photos/outtakes. And yes, a sense of humor is definitely in the Smith DNA!
Happy Anniversary! I think I’m falling in love with your Noah! He’s got such a mature face and his expressions are priceless! Already so much like his fun-loving dad. Is it too early to set-up a date between Noah & Elizabeth?
Speaking as a new mommy who had a magical Christmas with her family, I’m sure it was just as hard for the Florida Smiths to leave as it was for you to see them go. My grandparents are treasures to me and I want Elizabeth to have the same relationship with her grandparents. I am sure Nathan and Meaghan feel the same and the fact that the distance is so great makes it harder. But it also makes the times you are together so much sweeter!
Hope you are feeling better soon!
Courtney
Courtney,
I agree, Noah and Elizabeth would make a darling couple! I’m so glad you had a great Christmas with your family but also sad to know that you you had to say good bye. It never gets any easier, does it?
Happy, Happy Anniversary. The photos are priceless. You were a baby when you were married but you really did know where you were going, who you were and who was the best to accompany you on your journey! And, needless to say, Noah is just so cute and I can already see his sense of humor. Grandpa must be very proud about that trait!
Mary,
Yes, I really was a baby when I got married–it seems like such a very long time ago! And I’m ever so thankful I chose Steve to accompany me on my life journey.
Happy Anniversary! Love the pictures! Enjoy your day!
Joleen,
Thanks for stopping by and celebrating with us!
Happy Anniversary you two!! Wishing you many, many more happy years together!
LeeAnne,
I’m looking forward to at least 32 more!
Happy Anniversary!! Those pictures that didn”t make it are great!
Michele,
I always think the best pictures are the ones that are’t perfect!
Happy Anniversary! Keep those photos coming. It is so nice to see the whole family having fun.
Shawn,
Thanks for the wishes. We had a lot of fun having fun–if that makes any sense. 🙂
Great pictures… from yesterday and today!! Noah has certainly grown! I love baby faces… they are so expressive! Happy Anniversary, and Good Luck with your upcoming doctor visits… Praying that your platelets rebound nicely and no other action is necessary. Love Meagan’s hair too!!
Tiffany,
Yes, babies really are expressive–I love to watch their faces change from moment to moment. And isn’t Meagan’s hair cute? I love it, too.
Love the photos! Happy Anniversary – may you be blessed with many more
Becky,
Thank you for your sweet words!
