In Love.

October 31, 2013

I’ve seen a lot of expressions on Nathan’s face over the years but this? This expression is a new one.

This is a little boy grown up expression.

This is a proud, exhausted daddy expression.

This is an expression that says, “I love with this little guy with everything in me but I would give five thousand dollars if I could just sleep five hours.”

This is my son . . .

. . . and his son.

So proud of the man Nathan is.

So excited to see the man he will raise.

So in love with those two precious guys.

My son is 10 months and I just started getting sleep… until the dreaded Time change….. at some point I will get that hour back. 😉

      Angela,

Oh, I hadn’t thought about the time change. Yikes! 🙂 Yes, you DO deserve an extra hour somewhere along the way to get some snoozing in!

Ah, those sleepless days and nights but, AHHHHH, those cuddles and snuggly, sleeping babies nestled on our chests and in our hearts. Can’t beat them. Someone once asked my dad how long he was going to rock by brother, he said “Until his feet drag the ground!”

Oh boy don’t we remember those days like they were yesterday? Ah the memories. And as my mom says, the good Lord gives them to the young for a reason! Sweet, good times!

I had to laugh seeing this! I recognize that hollowed-out, thousand yard stare Nathan has because my husband and I look just like that in every photo taken of us for the first few months after we had our son!

I remember having somewhat of that same expression for about 6 months straight with the twins when they were born!! 🙂 I am sure he and Meagan are exhausted, but loving every minute! Noah is definitely a cutie!!

      Tiffany,

I can not even IMAGINE having twin infants. How you ever got even one wink of sleep is beyond me! I know you’re glad they’re beyond that stage and yet don’t we miss it?
