It’s Here!

May 21, 2021

Edited to add: Livestream of wedding starts at 1:43 p.m. EST.

We just finished our wedding rehearsal and are gearing up for a big day. Here are Gage and Sarah greeting everyone before the start.

We had a few challenges and drawbacks this week (nothing medical, thankfully), but everything is in place and ready to go.

Just a reminder we will be livestreaming at facebook.com/manteofirstag

Also, if you go to Facebook or Instagram and type in #Sagewedding 2021, that’s the hash tag where all the pictures will be collected.

I’ve got a late night tonight and an early morning tomorrow but just wanted to say hello and thank you to all our friends–both near and far–who will be thinking of our family tomorrow.

If you watch the livestream, be sure to leave a message–either on FB or here.

Here’s to the newlyweds and new love!

As I write this, the wedding and festivities are all done and Becky and Steve can relax for a while. Have not looked at the pictures yet, but will do so. I remember Sarah was concerned because she was so shosrt. In looking at the picture of she and Gage at the top of the page – is is just right for her – in all ways – stature and personality.

Such and beautiful and meaningful wedding. These two are not only in love but share such a spiritual bond ….what a book this would make.

  3. Heather E says:

    Heather

  4. Tricia says:

    Congratulations Sarah and Gage!
I have never seen a more beautiful, precious wedding….I admit tears fell quite often! What a joy….after following since the beginning, all those years ago… to witness Sarah all grown up, deeply in love and marrying a man who so obviously cherishes her. God is so good!

  5. Monique says:

The wedding was absolutely beautiful ❤ Congratulations!

  6. Joy says:

The wedding was the sweetest Holy Spirit filled wedding I have ever witnessed. It was just precious. Sarah was a beautiful bride and you were a beautiful MOB. I loved your dress Becky.

I loved hearing Sarah’s strong voice saying her vows and Gage too. They need to counsel couples getting married. Their love for each other is so strong in their actions. The Lord has a great plan for them.

I hope you are getting some much needed rest. I know if feels strange when you have an empty nest.

No go have a happy, healthy long marriage Sarah and Gage.

  10. Phyllis says:

Everything was beautiful Becky! Your dress, Sarah and her dress, their vows, the video, the ring bearer and flower girl. I could go on.
Hope you can take a long nap tomorrow afternoon!

  11. Cindy says:

The wedding was perfect, I went outside very early to get my gardening done, didn’t see a soul at 6:30. I would love to see it again. Sarah was lovely and Gage very handsome! Their service fit them perfectly. You looked lovely as well, your dress was charming. Hope all of you get some rest. All of the hard work by all was wonderful.

    • Becky says:

      Cindy,

Just want to be sure you knew the wedding will stay on the FB page for the foreseeable future so it can be re-watched. At some point we will also have the professional video of many of the wedding excerpts. Did you recognize any of your hats hanging as aisle markers?

  12. Teresa Hewitt says:

What an absolutely beautiful wedding. I cried so many times to see this lovely young couple make their vows to one another – so obviously in love. It was happy, it was moving, it funny, it was sweet, it was delightful.

Becky, you looked BEAUTIFUL in your dress.

Congrats to the beautiful couple and their families! What a blessing having followed Sarah growing up through reading your blogs, and now being able to see her getting married. Thank you for sharing these moments through the live stream with us. I must admit I rewatched the kiss several times: cutest (and funniest) thing ever.

    • Becky says:

      Babette,

Yes, Gage couldn’t even wait for the “You may kiss the bride line.” I guess we can forgive him for his enthusiasm. 🙂

  15. DeLynn says:

What a delightful wedding! I worked around the house this afternoon so was able to watch/listen. It was a very God-honoring ceremony. It also showcased Gage and Sarah’s personalities and also their love for each other (and God!!). Your brother-in-law did a magnificent job.
I trust that you and Steve were able to enjoy it. Praying for you to get some rest soon. Thank you for sharing your day with us.
    Best wishes to you all!

  33. Teresa Hewitt says:

Ah I see it’s at 1:45, if that helps the previous commenter who asked – which will be 6:45 pm in England. Perfect.

  34. Teresa Hewitt says:

    Happy Wedding Day!

We’ll try and catch some of the livestream, I see Manteo is 5 hours behind us (so 03:16 there as I write this from England) so when I find the wedding time (mentioned in a recent post on here I think – a picture of the wedding invitation?) we’ll be good to go.

Popping out this morning to get a few last minute things for my own daughter’s wedding (tomorrow) – and this might make you smile – the main thing we are getting is pink wellington boots. Yes, they will be an unusual choice of footwear for a wedding, will they not? But we have had the WORST week for weather, it has hardly stopped raining, and blowing gales, just awful, even for England, so if they want photographs outside it will be off with the pretty bridal slippers and on with the boots and big umbrellas 😀

Have a WONDERFUL day! Our love to you all. Hope you get a bit of a rest after today, Becky, while your daughter starts her life with her lovely man. xxxx Teresa and Juliet xxx

  35. Cathie says:

  38. Bridgette says:

I am so happy the big day has finally arrived!! Sending best wishes for the wonderful couple! I will be unable to watch during the actual ceremony. Will it be saved so we can watch later? Thoughts and prayers that tomorrow is one of the best days ever for Sarah and Gage! Wishing them love and happiness always!
