I wanted to get this post up tonight since I won’t have a chance tomorrow; I’m leaving at 6 am for an out-of-town trip to head up a meeting for women ministers and pastor’s wives in our part of the state. Fortunately, I like long, solitary trips. I just don’t like leaving quite that early!
I’m still waiting on Easter drama photos to be edited and turned in (our photographer took 1400 of them!), but for tonight, I have a video of the song that closed out the drama. (It shows Jesus being resurrected at the end of it.)
The singer, Tshombe Selby, is a native son of our town. He is heavily involved in the music for the huge Lost Colony drama that’s been held on Roanoke Island every year for over 75 years. He’ll be studying music in London for part of the summer and his dream is to become part of a large city opera company. You’ll understand why he has a great chance of his dream coming true when you hear his voice. Trust me when I tell you that it will give you goose bumps!
It was a treat to get to hear him sing for the dress rehearsals and the two performances. (Here he is singing at the dress rehearsal.)
My keyboard was just a couple feet below the stage where he was singing so I was privileged to have a front row seat on a magnificent display of true, God-given talent.
Enjoy!
