Note: My commenting system is continuing to have little hissy fits and most of the time, will not let me to reply to comments that come in. So I’m not ignoring you–I’m just not able to respond at the moment. Tech guy is still working. (Fingers crossed.)
As I’ve mentioned before, if you are new around Smithellaneous and are beginning to wonder if all I talk about is Snowy, I do apologize! But in this particular season of life, I’m writing about him a lot more than usual because 1) he’s been sick and 2) my regular readers will tar and feather me if I don’t give fairly frequent updates on the most popular Smith Family member.
So . . . unless you want to read a blog written by a tarred and feathered blogger, I will continue to do quick updates.
I’m continuing to gradually back off the meds and he’s doing fairly well; however, he’s been sleeping a whole lot more than usual, even without being on his muscle relaxer. I don’t think he was out of his kennel even an hour today, and that even includes the time I was cooking dinner. Usually he is my most faithful “foot companion” when I’m cooking so just lying in his kennel all the time is probably not the best sign.
On the postivie side, he’s eating like a champ, scarfing down his regular food as well as his daily, beloved allotments of chunked up watermelon. Who knew a dog could love watermelon so much?
Well, it’s about time to head downstairs for Family Night. The next week is going to be jam packed so we’re trying to grab some time this evening to hang out and do something fun. Sarah and I want to play Taboo but we think that Steve is intimidated by Sarah’s and my female mind link and he will probably instead suggest that we go out and run a half marathon. Or something.
I’ll be on the road tomorrow leading a womens’ minister’s meeting but if anything changes with Snowy, one of us will be sure to update.
We appreciate Snowy updates … and, of course, hearing from his family, as well. 😉 Hope he continues to improve – rest does the body good! Hopefully he’ll soon be up and at ’em … better than ever!
Yes, I’m hoping his rest means he’s getting better, not worse. Guess we’ll know soon enough. Glad you enjoy his updates!
Yes, our pets are kinda big deal. Our cat has her own chair. Sometimes she shares.
Jeff, how very generous of your cat to (occasionally) share her chair! I know you are most appreciative of her grand generosity.
Hi, Becky! I found you!! I enjoyed our time together today.

Shari, welcome to Smithellaneous. Glad you “landed” here!
Snowy is just a little tired now – hopefully he will be back underfoot soon. Take care.
Mary, yes, I know he is tired and the rest will do him good. He was underfoot while I was cooking tonight so that was a good thing!
you look cute Snowy… hope you feel more like helping mama cook.
woof and love
Mrs. Pam, he really is one cute fella.
Thank you for posting. I check on Snowy every day.
Thank you for caring enough to check on him!
maybe he finally realizes he is an old fart, lol and that old farts just lazily lounge around all day, soaking up the sun and in his case watermelon, lol.
Becky, 🙂
Glad to see Snowy is hanging in there. Love his new pictures.
Margine, yep, hanging in there and hanging on. We’ll see what each day holds.
