Now that I’ve let our immediate family and church staff know, I wanted to pass on the news to you dear readers as quickly as possible:
We found out about an hour ago that the ultra sound was clear!
As in nothing to be seen. (Well, except all the things that SHOULD be seen.)
When I think that instead of writing to you, Steve and I could be sitting across from a doctor, looking at serious-looking scan pictures and plotting all manner of further testing and treatment–well, grateful is not quite big enough of a word for how I feel right now.
You know how it is when you’re waiting on something like this. As hard as you try not to, your mind runs away with you and you start thinking of celebrating Christmas with a bald head and nausea, of being given a year to live, of having to spend days in the hospital and weeks recovering from surgeries and . . . well, you know the drill.
But I’m not thinking about ANY of that!
What I AM thinking about is that when Nathan and Meagan and the kids arrive at Christmas, I can play with those grand babies, I can enjoy the company of my husband and kids. I can LIVE!
In the meantime, we do have a a few odd symptoms yet to deal with but hey, I can do odd symptoms all day long as I know that I have happy ovaries. 🙂
Thanks again for the comments you left and the concern that you shared.
I am beyond blessed to have each one of you in my life.
I just checked in after a pretty long hiatus from blogs. I am so so so happy to hear everything was clear on the ultrasound! I hope they can figure out what is causing all the weird symptoms. The body is a very complicated thing isn’t it? It can be so frustrating and confusing sometimes. I’m doing a desk chair happy dance for you over here! Hands in the air! Whoop whoop! 🙂
AWESOME news! 🙂 My mom had a HUGE scare with her ovaries back in 1993. I was sooo relieved when her GYN came out and told my dad and I it was NOT cancer!!!!
Happy to hear things turned out well! Love reading your posts!
Prayers answered! Thank you, Lord! So glad to hear the good news! You have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly while waiting for results. The past is gone, the future is yet to be, but today is a gift and that’s why it is called the present! Love that saying, and thank God every day for the gift. As part of your “blog family” I am rejoicing with you and the rest of your families.
