A Video! That’s Funny! Starring Steve!

April 19, 2013

Wednesday’s post about a car reminded me of a video in my archives that features Steve telling a funny car story.  I thought I had posted it already, but it turns out I haven’t. So today is your lucky day!

Steve is telling this story (about what happens when a moped races a muscle car) at a costume event for kids at our church which is why he is wearing a wig, a hat, and Bubba Teeth. (Now you’ll HAVE to watch the video, just to see him dressed up like that!)

The “Pastor Jeff” he refers to in the story is Jeff Gray, who was on staff as our youth pastor before moving to South Carolina; the car in the story is Pastor Jeff’s Mustang GT500,  If you’ve never heard Steve talk in person, please let me reassure you that this isn’t how he sounds for real. This is his official “funny story” voice.

This is just three minutes long so it will be a nice laugh break in your day. Enjoy!

And here are a few photos from that evening.  (I posted some of them before but thought they were worth posting again in order to provide some context for the The Great Video Moment!)

Sarah (bless her heart) was the Princess escorted by the redneck!

It didn’t seem to faze her.

Scary, isn’t it?

Just so that I don’t leave you with your retinas burning, here is a final picture of Steve in one of his saner moments.

I know you all are relieved to know that Sarah and I are not living with the man in the above picture twenty-four hours a day!

That’s a great story!! He’s quite an entertainer huh?!? 🙂

Well, actually, you are living with that man. And Sarah shows a lot of class in doing so. Not many dull moments with that, guy, Becky. Oh, and she does get her class from you, I daresay..

I’m laughing even as I type this so you get this in the right context.

      Cath,

Yep, she gets her class from me and her sense of humor from her dad. A pretty good combination! 🙂

Pastor Steve Billy Bob sure do know how to tell him a story! What fun!
