At some point in the next few days, I want to share with you a post about Snowy’s funeral and how we’re adjusting to his loss. And then, I promise I will stop writing about him so much except for maybe a few “best of” Snowy posts from the archives that I may put up every once in a while, just for the smiles they bring.
I also need to finish out the Tea Party post and explain what was behind the Decapitated Star Fish Cucumber Sandwiches. And on Thursday, Sarah turns seventeen, so I’ll have a post or two coming centered around that big occasion.
For today though, I will leave you with this picture and see if you can look at it without smiling at least a little bit.
Snowy was never one to stand–or sit—on ceremony, was he?
too cute…
you probably can’t imagine how many times a day I think about Snowy…
really missing him, too!
Mrs. Pam, we are so honored that you would think of him along with us. Thanks so much for the lovely card and compassionate thoughts you sent.
Put some stripes on him, and he’d be the perfect “Cat in the Hat” hat! Dogs are so uninhibited.
Jan, that is such a GREAT idea!!
That picture is pure Snowy-ness! 🙂 Been thinking of you all so often. Love you.
Deb
Thanks, Deb. Still enjoying the flowers!
Since the loss of our furry child in June, I have found that talking about her helps with the healing. Please continue to share all of the wonderful Snowy stories.
Anna, I’m so sorry that you lost your furry family member; thank you for your encouragement to not stop talking about Snowy. I will definitely tell some of his stories here and there as weeks and months go by.
Love the pic – Snowy was quite the fellow. Don’t stop posting about him – I love hearing the stories – both funny and sad.
Jennifer, thanks for your encouragement. And yes, Snowy really was quite the fellow! So funny how all animals are so different from each other, just like people are. And he was a one in a billion guy!
Love this picture! We will never get tired of hearing Snowy stories, so keep them coming please!
Shawn, I love the picture, too. Can’t look at it without smiling. And remembering. (And then crying a little.)
Smiling! Oh, my, look how young both are in that picture.
It will be very difficult to not have Snowy posts. I for one will welcome the more than the occasional look back at Snowy’s adventures. I am sure many feel the same. Just like this photo, I don’t remember ever seeing that before. Can’t quite give him up yet.
However, we do need to find out about the cucumber sandwiches and Sarah’s birthday and her new school year and Meagan and Nathan and many other things.
How many out there still require a Snowy fix every once in awhile?
Mary, well, if you insist, I guess I can Snowy-ize the blog from time to time. 🙂 Thank you for your encouragment.
Becky…Please don’t stop posting remembrances of Snowy!!
Jojy, if you’ll keep reading them, I’ll keep posting them!
