A Peaceful Pooch

August 2, 2012

I can tell from my stat counter that a lot of you are still dropping by so I wanted to add a final report before bed.  I’m happy to say that this new regimen of medicine (pain-killer, steroid, muscle relaxer in addition to a liver medicine and a medicine to protect Snowy’s stomach from the steroid) is doing an AMAZING job!  For the first time in several days, Snowy is lying quietly beside me in the writing chair without shaking, panting, or constantly changing positions.

I do understand the fact that the medicines are only masking symptoms and are not curing him but I can’t tell you how thrilling it is for me to sit with him and see him perfectly, quietly content with his body at rest.

And also, here are two more pictures from this morning–a dog and his grass.

Thank you so much for your continued comments, support, thoughts and prayer for our little guy.

If things are still going reasonably well with Snowy tomorrow, I’ll change gears a little and post parts of Nathan and Meagan’s wedding video which will be a fun thing to do!   See you then.

I am appreciating the updates! Thanks! So very glad that ‘A peaceful Pooch’ is good news because my heart sunk when I read the title, thinking “uh oh…”. (I totally took it the wrong way!!)
Anyway, Mr Snowy is absolutely precious sitting there in the grass!  🙂 Thankful that you are all getting extra, pain-free time with him.

So happy he is peaceful and pain free – every day like that now is like a year’s time with him.  Asked my Greyhound to say a puppy prayer for Snowy last evening.  Maybe that helped.  Love and prayers to all.

Thank you so much, Becky, for keeping us updated about Snowy! I shall honestly sleep better tonight than in past nights, as I was so worried about him. He just looks so gorgeous lying on the grass, don’t you think?!! Such a love! I’ll be keeping him in my prayers.
    Hugs and Blessings,
    Judy
