Since I’ve posted so much sad news about Snowy recently, I thought I would post some happy pictures today. These were taken a few months ago while we were giving him a bath. (And while he was a bit hesitant about me posting nekkid pictures of him on the Internet, he did give me permission to do it . . . just this once.)
By the way, he’s feeling well today; still being kept comfortable by the large quantities of med’s he’s on.
And now? The bath photos.
Have you ever seen such an offended dog?
Of course, being cuddled by a lovely lady at the end of the bath made up for some of the humiliation.
Or not.
When Sarah finished toweling him off, he launched into his own Personal Drying Routine which involved rubbing against various items in the house.
He first tried to rub against the cupboard door but didn’t seem to be very impressed.
So he went off to a new spot—rubbing himself against the door frame as he went.
Ahhh. This is more like it.
A couch is better than a cupboard any ol’ day!
Oh, my the look of disgust and indignation in the second “after-the-bath” photo is hilarious – if he could, he would be sneering. Snowy, you made me smile. So glad he is still comfortable and comforting.
Lord, thank you, many times over….it is RAINING here (actually storming here) – oh, my huge Oak and Maple trees may be saved yet – have lost so much during this drought and have fought mightily to keep the wild critters fed and watered. We are faithfully watering some of my flowers and a “volunteer” little cedar tree that popped up in a landscaped area by my deck – that is my Dad’s way of telling me he is close by. Dad loved the Missouri Cedars – it is now about 6 feet tall and my daughter makes sure it is watered – amazing how that tree just popped up about three years ago and has survived everything that has come its way. Coincidence, I don’t think so. As my cousin who lives on the family farm where so many of these beloved Cedars grow, told me recently, “Coincidence is God being anonymous.” Love that one.
Take care and hope Snowy and all of you have a peaceful, restful, contented weekend.
Mary, so glad to hear you are getting some rain there! Woo-hoo! It would be so sad to lose oak and maple trees; they are so gorgeous and stately. And how lovely to have a volunteer cedar pop up to remind you of your dad. Such a sweet thought.
