Monday Miscellanany

April 17, 2017

Sarah left at 6 a.m. this morning to drive back to Virginia Beach for college and I am leaving at 7 a.m. for a rheumatology infusion in Greenville.

Steve will be heading out to work in a bit while Summer will stay at home to guard the castle until we all return. It’s so reassuring to know that we have a (sort of) ferocious and (highly) fluffy watch dog on duty.

Since Sarah was home for the weekend, I scheduled her to work in the tech booth at church yesterday morning.  I had to laugh when I walked in and saw this sight

Like mother, like daughter.  I am alway kicking my shoes off on Sunday mornings.

We reprised a couple of the numbers from the drama in our service; Sarah was in charge of everything on the front screens.

Last evening, after a post-church lunch and a nap, she and Steve and I took a stroll along the boardwalk in downtown Manteo. It was a perfect Carolina spring day.

In other Easter Sunday news . . .

these two faces magically appeared in my computer.  Is it just me, or are those kids really cute?

I especially loved these photos of those cute grandkids with their fabulous “other family” in Florida.

Doesn’t this just make you want to smile?

And lastly in my lineup of people I like to write about, here is Steve (looking just slightly demented), in his Easter drama beard and makeup.

And here he is, sans aforementioned Easter drama beard, preaching Easter Sunday morning.  That is one mighty fine lookin’ fella!

I will be doing one final post about the Easter drama and Dare Challenge later this week and it’s going to be a good one. But for now, I will sign off and head on down the road.

Beautiful pictures, as always. I hope you had a safe trip to Greenville and back (with maybe a photo op pitstop along the way)!

      Sue Ellen,

I was planning on a photo pitstop on the way home, but then ran out of energy! It was a beautiful spring day for travel though and I loved watching the scenery pass as I drove.

Noah and Madi are just precious! I love those smiles!! Have a safe trip and enjoy the thrifting and photo snapping that most likely will occur along the way. 🙂

      LeeAnne,

Sadly, my favorite thrift store was closed on Monday for a staff workday. I was just a wee bit sad about that!

Safe travels. Enjoy your thrift store and scenery on the trip. Pictures are so good. Looking forward to drama ones and Dare Challenge. So glad they are a part.

      Ann,

I always love to write about the Dare Challenge guys. It’s a privilege to be a small part of seeing live’s changed.

Those two little towheads are soooo cute. Isn’t technology wonderful when you can keep in touch by Skye or however you can see them. Know Sarah will do well in college as she prepares for this media career.

    • Becky says:

      Sharyn,

Yes, I am very grateful I was not a grandma a hundred years ago when seeing far away grandkids was impossible. Thankful, thankful, thankful for grandkid-viewing technology! 🙂

  7. Hah! The shoe-shedding gene has also been passed along to Madi. 🙂
