Mama’s Milk. Florida’s Milk.

September 14, 2015

Meagan just took this photo of Madi and I had to share it in all its cuteness.

Madison has been the happy recipient of many gallons of her mama’s milk over the past three months and it shows. In those adorable chubby cheeks . . . it shows.

And if you could see the baby knees beneath this dress, I can guarantee they are chubbier than the cheeks.

Love this girl and her sweet mama.

And on another Nathan’s Family Subject . . .

Some of you may not know that Nathan’s job involves testing dairy products for the State of Florida. Basically, he keeps milk (and other dairy products) safe for Floridians to consume.

He just recently wrote the following FB post about his job:

Excited to say that I passed my certification with the FDA and am now a State of Florida Lab Enforcement Officer. It took me a little over two years to complete this certification and it has been challenging and frustrating at times but rewarding. Thanking God for his many blessings and opportunities that he has for my future.

The new certification will come with a raise which is happy news for a family paying for college loans and diapers.

We actually visited Nathan’s lab a couple of years ago; I posted these pictures after the visit but thought I would post a few of them again so you could see where he does his job.

Lastly, here is a picture of the whole Florida Crew. Love those four so much.

congrats to Nathan – also, everything ok down there – you don’t normally go so long between smile posts to our inboxes

      Becky,

Actually, over the past few months I’ve been gradually paring my posts down to about two a week; usually on Mondays and Fridays. I was finding it getting harder and harder to post any more often than that with my work, church and family schedule. Thanks for missing the posts! 🙂

    Ann,

Yes, I have to agree. Those are two cuties!

  3. Ann Martin says:

Congratulations to Nathan. He is such an incredibly hard worker and amazing family man. Definitely a product of his up bringing. Becky and Steve, you have done an amazing job bringing up your children. Maddi is just so precious and I have to agree that she looks just like a little Noah also. 🙂

      Mel,

Thanks for your sweet words. He really is a fabulous man. It’s still sometimes hard for me to believe that my son is a daddy of TWO kids. Wow–that went fast!

What a beautiful family!! Congratulations Nathan!

Madi is sooooooo adorable. But I think you could just Photoshop a dress and a headband onto a picture of Noah at the same age and you’d have the identical picture! They are so alike. Good job, Meagan and Nathan!

And congratulations to Nathan! My NY kids and grandkids are off to a wedding in Orlando in the next month or so, and I’ll sleep better knowing that the milk they’re drinking is protected by Nathan Smith!!!

    • Becky says:

      Jan,

Yes, you can definitely tell the two kids are related. Cuteness in the genes . . .

And please DO inform your family that they can consume any dairy product they want while in Orlando–Nathan and his crew are on the job!

    Congratulations Nathan!!
Sweet little Miss Madi definitely has some seriously chubby cheeks. And that pose and expression……what a doll baby!! 🙂

    • Becky says:

      LeeAnne,

You’re right–that pose and expression pushed the photo over the top. Meagan said she was glad she was able to grab the picture in that perfect split second.
